Genesis says: "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Genesis 5:24 Hebrews gives additional explanation: "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him." Hebrews 11:5 Enoch therefore experienced a unique translation by God. The Bible also records Elijah being taken to heaven in a similar extraordinary manner. 2 Kings 2:11.
