Spiritual warfare is real, but believers stand in Christ through truth, righteousness, faith, Scripture, prayer, and dependence on God's strength.
The Bible teaches that Christian life takes place within a real conflict against spiritual forces of evil, but it does not encourage fear or fascination with darkness. Ephesians points believers to the armor of God: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. The center of spiritual warfare is loyalty to Christ in ordinary life: resisting temptation, rejecting deception, forgiving others, praying faithfully, and trusting God's promises. Christians fight from Christ's victory, not for a victory they must create on their own.
The great controversy reveals God's character as Christ ministers as our High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary. The dead await the resurrection, Christ's return will be visible and personal, and prophecy calls believers to faithful mission rather than date-setting or fear.
