Assurance of salvation is anchored in God's promises rather than shifting feelings, because faith and feelings are not the same thing. Jesus said His sheep hear His voice, follow Him, and that no one can snatch them from His hand, which points believers to His keeping power rather than their own performance. At the same time, Scripture invites honest self-examination — not to earn salvation, but to notice growing fruit of the Spirit as evidence that the relationship with Christ is real and active. Doubts can be brought honestly to God, who is able to complete the good work He began.
Salvation is entirely by grace through faith in Christ. His atoning sacrifice, heavenly ministry, and intercession are the foundation of assurance; obedience, Sabbath faithfulness, and loving service are the fruit of a redeemed life, never a way to purchase acceptance with God.
