The created world itself testifies to God's power and character, as the heavens are said to declare His glory even without words. Creation is also the foundation for the Sabbath: God rested on the seventh day not because He was tired, but to establish a pattern of rest and worship that would remind every generation of who made them and why they matter.
Creation is a recent, literal, six-day work of God and the biblical foundation for human dignity, marriage, the seventh-day Sabbath, and worship of God as Creator. This conviction also gives the first angel's message its force: in a world of competing loyalties, worship belongs to the One who made heaven and earth.
