The first angel proclaims: "Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters." Revelation 14:7 The language deliberately points back to the fourth commandment: "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is." Exodus 20:11 The message therefore combines three themes: Judgment Worship Creation This becomes especially important because Revelation 13 describes a final conflict over worship, while Revelation 14 contrasts false worship with worship of the Creator. Revelation 14:7 explicitly calls humanity to worship the Creator and announces judgment. Its wording strongly echoes the Sabbath commandment, although the verse itself does not use the word "Sabbath."
