In Matthew 24, Jesus warned: False Christs would arise (Matthew 24:5). Wars and rumors of wars would occur (verse 6). Nations would rise against nations (verse 7). Jesus also warned that deception would be one of the greatest dangers: "Take heed that no man deceive you." Not every war, earthquake, or disaster should automatically be interpreted as the final event. Jesus specifically said: "all these are the beginning of sorrows."
