Spiritual gifts are abilities given by the Holy Spirit to build up the church. Every believer receives at least one, meant to be discovered and used in service to others.
Spiritual gifts are Spirit-given abilities such as teaching, encouragement, service, leadership, mercy, or generosity, distributed to different believers so the whole church functions like a healthy body with many necessary parts. No one receives every gift, and no gift is more spiritually significant than another when used in love — the goal is mutual benefit, not personal status. Gifts are often discovered through serving, noticing what brings genuine fruit and joy, and receiving feedback from other believers, rather than through abstract self-reflection alone.

Bible study should lead to a changed life, compassionate service, and a clearer picture of God's loving character.
