The New Testament pattern for baptism follows belief, not birth or family tradition alone. Every baptism recorded in Acts follows a person hearing the gospel, understanding it, and choosing to respond. Because of this, readiness matters more than a specific number: a child, teen, or adult can be baptized once they grasp what it means to repent, trust Jesus as Savior, and commit to following Him. Parents, mentors, and church leaders can help someone weigh that decision honestly rather than rushing it or delaying it out of fear.
Salvation is entirely by grace through faith in Christ. His atoning sacrifice, heavenly ministry, and intercession are the foundation of assurance; obedience, Sabbath faithfulness, and loving service are the fruit of a redeemed life, never a way to purchase acceptance with God.
